Shallots are oval onions which have a distinctive yet milder and sweeter flavour. Banana Shallots, sourced from France, is oblong in shape with a distinctive aroma. Whilst shallots can be eaten raw, baked, boiled or fried, many people find eating it raw is very hot for them.
