Pan, also known as Betel leaves, are large heart-shaped leaves which are green in colour with a smooth any shiny texture and appearance. It is available year round from India, with the most popular variety being Calcutti pan. Pan is usually consumed as a breath freshner and digestiv aid after meals. The pan leaf is filled with various spices and pastes, and wrapped into a triangular shape. Please note: leaf size will vary and leaves may be marked/discoloured as this is natural.
