1kg – Pudding rice is short grain rice which develops a sticky and soft texture when it absorbs liquid. CookingInstructions: Hob – From Chilled/Ambient – Place approximately 50g Pudding Rice in a pan with 1 pint milk, 2 tablespoons sugar & flavouring. Bring to the boil and then lower to a very gentle simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and allow to cool. This will thicken the pudding. Serve either warm or cold. Oven cook – From Chilled/Ambien – Place approximately 60g Pudding Rice in an oven dish with a pint of milk, 2 tablespoons sugar and flavouring. Add a small portion of butter, if desired. Bake at 150°C, 300°F, gas mark 2 for 2 hours, stirring occasionally until thick and creamy. Serve warm.
